DESCRIPTION:
More than 2.000 medical students in the
beginning and the middle of their medical training have recently been studied using
a specific Questionnaire on Stress management, Life satisfaction, and Health promotion in medical students (Jurkat 2004,
2006, 2007 & 2008) supplemented by the SF-36 Health Survey (Bullinger &
Kirchberger) and the BDI.
In addition, comparative studies with students in other fields have been carried out.
In the near future, new representative studies are being planned in working physicians and in teachers using a revised version of the STQL (Stress management and Quality of Life) (Jurkat, 2009).

The books will be based on the relevant results of the extensive empirical research
of PD Dr. Jurkat - see projects I- IV as well as his extensive teaching experience
in medical education. The intention of the books are primarily of a useful nature in
dealing with work stress and effective coping strategies during the course
of her/his medical career.
